聖誕吐司Christmas Toast


聖誕節快樂!! 
出門好幾天, 聖誕節就該好好休息, 輕輕鬆鬆, 早上就弄了應節的蔬菜土司, 用了全麥吐司, 雞蛋, 番茄, 後院新成員~ 野生香菜. 紅紅綠綠慶聖誕, ho ho,ho .... :)

After few days travelling, I would like to have good rest and relax a bit on Christmas day. I made some vegetable toast for breakfast this morning. The ingredients are simple: whole wheat bread, eggs, tomatoes and new comer from my backyard, the culantro. Green and red celebrating Christmas, ho, ho, ho .....

雞肉咖哩叻沙 Chicken Curry Laksa


熱啊, 熱啊... 趁熱吃.. 大家都吃得好快. 都吃完了, 剛剛才吃完, 自家少油叻沙, 好吃嗎? 起鍋爆炒香料植物用了一點油, 就這樣而已. 椰奶有油質, 不需要再加油了. 香,香,香, 煮的時候更能享受到那個香氣.  家裡有小孩所以沒有煮很辣, 味道剛好.
天氣轉涼, 來一碗, 在家也有叻沙吃, 真好 ^_^

hot ! Let's eat while it's hot... They finished it so fast, all finished. I just finished eating too. How does it taste, the least oil laksa? After heating the wow, add a little oil to fry spice plants. No more oil is needed because coconut milk itself contains oil, why more? Oh, it smells good,  You'll have more pleasure to cook it because more fragrance coming out while cooking. It's not too spicy for kids. The taste is just nice.
The weather is getting cold. It's so good that we can have bowls of laksa in our own house.

番茄豆腐魚湯麵 Tomato Doufu Fish Soup Noodles


這魚原來熬煮後更美味, 濃郁的魚湯加上清新的豆腐和番茄, 真的棒,棒,棒! 還有蔬菜, 蛋卷, 這樣的午餐夠了 .....

The fish is nicer if cooked longer. The fish soup is rich, so nice to mix with the taste of tomatoes and doufu. Some more vegetable and egg rolls. I guess it's good enough for  lunch ...

牛肉丸米粉湯 Beef Ball Soup Rice Noodles



很久都不煮牛肉了, 想給家人補一補身子, 弄了牛肉丸. 這是小時候外婆常煮給我們強健身體的料理, 外婆其實是不吃牛肉和乳製品的, 為了我們的健康還是煮給我們吃. 不曉得她是怎麼煮的, 只好又是憑想像給它煮出來......

I didn't cook beef for long time. In order to strengthen the health for my family, I made some beef ball to cook soup and rice noodles. This dish was always cooked by grandmom to strengthen our health when I was a kid. My grandmom did not eat beef and dairy products. She cooked it just for our health. I do not know how she cooked. I cooked it out with my imagination ......

水餃手工面 Handmade Dumpling Noodles


剛買了另一個牌子的無漂白麵粉, 揉出來的麵糰有點帶黃,  筋度感覺比較低. 做麵條的手感還不錯, 做出來的麵條也很好, 煮久一點也不會爛, 所以, 要有嚼勁或軟一點自行決定. 
做了一些水餃,  和上次不一樣, 這次用有皺褶的包法, 皮做軟一點, 做不多就和面配著吃 ^_^

I just bought a new brand unbleached flour. After kneading, the dough is a bit yellow and less gluten. However, it's quite good to make noodles. You can boil a bit longer if you like soft noodles but I prefer they are a bit chewy.

 I tried to make some dumplings in different way, softer skin and folding. I made just a few and cooked them with the handmade noodles. :)

水餃有約 Meet Dumplings



真的好久好久沒做水餃了, 久到都忘了上次煮是什麼時候. 這次做了雞肉包菜水餃. 水餃兩吃: 水餃 + 鍋貼 , 任君選擇. 

留學大學的時候常買了水餃當午餐, 好久沒吃有點忘了口感如何. 沒學過, 就憑吃過, 去尋找那個味道 ..... 當然, 最不會忘的是烏醋薑絲
煮了蕃茄豆腐湯搭配, 這樣的晚餐也很不錯 :)

It's been long time not cooking dumplings, long enough to forget when was the last time to cook it. I made chicken cabbage dumplings. Two choices for you, boiled and fried. 

When I was in University, I used to buy dumplings for my lunch. I have been not eating dumplings for long time, almost forgot how it tastes. I have not learned how to make dumplings. I just followed my feeling to try it out..... 
I cooked tomato doufu soup to go with dumplings. The dinner was fine with them .......

巧克力麵包Chocolate Bread


終於都輪到了巧克力出場, 剛烤出來真的熱呼呼, 香噴噴,  迫不急待要嚐. 柔軟的巧克力麵包, 也很快就吃完了, 成功!

Finally, it's turn for chocolate. I was so eager to try when it just taken out from the oven, hot and rich of chocolate fragrance. The soft chocolate bread was finished up quite fast. Yes! Success!

甜甜牛奶麵包Sweet Milk Bread


撒上砂糖, 再加上濃濃的奶香味, 想吃嗎? 原本做成螺旋狀, 覺得不是很好看, 弄個辮子的也不錯 .....

It has sugar sprayed on the top and rich of milky fragrance. Would you like to eat? I made the spiral shape but felt not really looked good, so I tried braid shape. hehe, no bad at all :)

四季豆雞飯French Bean Chicken Rice


昨天有點累, 就做簡單的晚餐, 喜歡這次的調味, 很香.  這次直接用鑊煮, 飯也煮得不錯耶 :) 吃完再配上一杯咖啡,  覺得滿足又放鬆 ......

A bit tired yesterday, so I made simple meal for dinner, French Bean Chicken Rice. I like the seasoning. It really smell good. This time, I used wok to cook the rice and the rice is well cooked. After finishing the rice, just to have a cup of coffee. It was so satisfied and relaxed ......

石磚拼圖蛋糕Brick Puzzle Cake


這是為樂兒童節準備的香橙味的小蛋糕. 獨創了一款石磚拼圖蛋糕, 可惜沒辦法拼成一個完整圖帶去, 這樣小朋友可能會覺得好玩些. 拆散了帶去就變成了奇形怪狀的小蛋糕, 用新鮮的雞蛋, 天然的水果香味, 蛋糕當然好吃, 可是, 好傷心喔, 收回了好多. 沒關係啦, 我們就像這樣, 解決掉了, 哈哈, 大家這樣子搶著吃, 樂也 !!

Orange flavor mini cakes special for children day. I invented a new style of cake, the Brick Puzzle Cake. What a pity, I was unable to bring a whole plate. It would be more fun for children to play the "Puzzles". After split them up, they all become weird shape mini cakes. The cakes is nice with fresh eggs and natural fruit flavor but a lot had been returned, a bit sad about this. It's ok. We just finished them like this. We had fun eating together either :)

蔬果起司螺旋, 文數字義大利麵Fruit Vegetable Cheese Fusilli, Alphanumeric Pasta


這是昨天的午餐, 今天是公定假日, 心情比較輕鬆一點, 才會有心思吶. 牛奶, 蔬菜, 起司煮成的湯汁, 香香, 鹹鹹, 一點甜甜. 加個蛋補充蛋白質, 新鮮的水果, 加上自種的薄荷葉, 增添香氣.
這樣好吃嗎?

Yesterday lunch, cheese pasta. Today is public holiday. I think I was more relax to prepare lunch. Milk, vegetable and cheese are the ingredients for the soup. It has nice fragrance, a bit salty, and little sweetness. Boiled egg to increase protein, fresh fruit, and mint leaves to add more fragrance, do you think it's yummy?

椰子面包 Coconut Bread


最近創作的椰子面包, 完全沒用到乳製品, 也沒有加油, 非常適合不喜歡奶味, 乳製品或對乳製品過敏的人, 也適合素食者.  很開心能夠想到什麼口味, 就能做出來, 不需要面包機, 不需要攪拌器. 只要有心情就可以了 :)
My lately new recipe is coconut bread, totally does not have any dairy product ingredients and no oil added. It's good for those do not like the smell of milk or dairy products.It also suitable for those allergy with dairy products and vegetarians. I'm so happy that when I think of a flavor I can just make it out. I don't need a bread machine. I don't need a mixer. All I need is just a mood .... :)

種豆芽, 煮豆芽 Magic pot grows bean sprouts



聽說, 外面賣的豆芽"加料" 之後, 頭小身體胖. 不小心, 可能還會買到毒豆芽. 心血來潮, 將剩下的綠豆約半個米杯, 拿來發豆芽.

發豆芽其實很簡單, 注意基礎的兩項:
1. 要乾淨 2. 控制好水分, 這樣豆芽在發的過程中才不會爛掉

發豆芽步驟:
1. 準備乾淨的容器
2. 洗淨的綠豆放入容器浸泡 6- 8 小時
3. 沖洗綠豆 1 天 3-4次, 綠豆濕濕的就好, 不要浸泡
4. 等豆芽長到自己滿意的長度就可以收成了, 約需 3-4 天

I was told that the bean sprouts selling in market are added "something" to make the bean sprout stem grows "fatter" and the seed coat becomes smaller. We probably have bought some poison bean sprouts. It's time for me to start growing bean sprouts and I had some green beans(mung beans) left, about half cup of rice measurement cup, to grow.

It's quite simple to grow the bean sprouts. Just remember two important things:
1. Cleanliness 2. Control of the water, to avoid the bean sprouts become rotten.


Steps of growing beans:
1. Prepare a clean container
2. Wash the beans and put them into the container to soak for 6 to 8 hours.
3. Rinse the beans 3-4 times a day. After rinsing, don't soak the beans, just leave them moist.
4. Wait for the beans to grow and you can harvest if you think they are long enough. It normally takes 3-4 days.




第四天, 今天忍不住拿一些來炒, 口感棒極了, 又脆又香, 還可以咬到豆子, 又沒有一種怪味, 總之, 就是新鮮. 

Day 4, I couldn't wait to taste them. Took some and pan fried with garlic. They smell good and crunchy. The seed coats are nice to eat. I always love it. They don't have odd smell as the bean sprouts brought from the market either. They are so, so .... fresh!!






收成了, 有一小鍋哦, 放了冰箱2天, 拿出來要煮了
I got a medium pot of bean sprouts. They had been kept in the fridge for 2 days. I just got them out for cooking...

綠茶粄 Green Tea Steam Cake


星期天, 動手天. 真的好久, 好久沒有做這種粿類食品, 開始還真的有點手忙腳亂, 還好做著做著感覺就慢慢回來了....

會黏, 可我整型的時候一點油都沒用喔 :)

其實, 材料原本要做別的, 對那個沒什麼感覺, 怕材料放太久, 趕快想個東西出來, 拼拼湊湊出來的東西也不錯 ^_^

Sunday is the day to have your fingers moving. It has been long, long time not making cakes made of rice flour. Of course, I started clumsily but doing better after few tries and the feels coming gradually  ...
They will be sticky but I insist no oil is used for shaping :)

The ingredients were really for other but I  just didn't have any sense of it. I was afraid the ingredients were going spoil , so I had to think of something else and it turn out not too bad at all ^_^

奶酥麵包 Milk Butter Topping Bun



有人跟我提起奶油麵包, 我說很"肥"的哦! 好啦, 改天做. 想了一下, 把他做成topping, 那就可以減少牛油的用量, 果然, 做完還有剩, 冰起來改天還可以做 ....

Someone mentioned the Milk Butter Bun. I said: "Oh!Fat!" and I said :" I'll do it some other time ...". Yes, it is too oily for me because of too much butter to make the filling.  After a little thought, I decided to change the filling into topping. Indeed, it has more left to keep into freezer ......

榛果白咖啡葡萄乾貝殼面包Hazelnut White Coffee Raisin Shell Bread


哇, 好多相片都沒上, 整理也要花時間. 先上這個吧! 榛果白咖啡葡萄乾貝殼面包
 酵母愛喝咖啡嗎? 感覺還不錯. 在想要用什麼造型, 就這樣卷,卷,卷, 卷成了貝殼的形狀.
托盤放不下就做成圓形的, 反正好吃就行.

Do yeasts love coffee? Maybe they should try :) I was thinking what shape for the breads. I just scroll, scroll, scroll and it became shell shape. Nice to see and nice to eat too, haha!
When the tray was full, I made the rest in round shape. Which one do you prefer?

手工紅蘿蔔面+ 魚肉蛋捲handmade carrot noodles +Fish egg roll



有機面好貴又好鹹, 看了幾台切面機, 總覺得會生鏽, 不買了, 還是自己"動手"吧!
從做麵, 熬湯, 現做現煮, 真是自討苦吃, 應該先做好麵, 改天才煮. 偏偏週末突然想吃麵就 ......

Organic noodles are expensive and salty. Noodles cutters which I saw on shelf are chrome-plated and the quality seems not so good, so I decided not to buy. Let my hands do it for me!
From making noodles to cooking soup is a hard job because it takes hours just to have a bowl of noodles. It's better to make the noodles first and freeze them then you can cook it some other day. However, I just felt that I needed a bite of noodle in weekend .....

今晚吃什麼?What for tonight?


"今晚吃什麼?" , 特別為了我的父母準備的晚餐, 我媽喜歡有酒的料理, 特別為了她想了一道食譜, "枸杞子醉雞", 爸爸喜歡豆腐, 那就"蒜香雞肉沙煲豆腐". 靓湯是"花生雞湯", 再來個"清炒菜心" 和營養豐富的"番茄炒蛋", OK嗎?

香蒜是自家院子種的哦?


Tonight dinner is specially for my parent. My mum likes wine cuisine, so I prepared a special dish for her which I have never tried before. I call it "wolf berries and wine chicken". My father like doufu, so I made him "Green garlic claypot doufu". The soup is "Peanut chicken soup" and two more dishes are "Fried Choy Sum" and "Tomato Fried Egg", sound OK?

做這個麵包讓人快樂, 胖鼓鼓的不覺得很可愛嗎? 麵糰揉打至可拉出薄膜很不簡單, 但也很有成就感, 尤其用這種無添加, 能做出這麼柔軟的麵包, 真的很感恩.

起司加了義大利香料的口味, 融化你了嗎?

I love this happy bread. It's looked so chubby, so cute!! Kneading and beating the dough until it can be pulled out a thin membrane is not that easy but full of satisfaction. Especially, the bread is soft without using natural bread flour.

紫色愛心粥 Purple Porridge


我們的傳統, 生病要吃粥. 為甚麼生病要吃粥? 除了補充水分, 碳水化合物補充能量, 清淡易消化.生病吃粥, 我覺得是我們的飲食文化裡, 很有智慧的食療. 記得小時候, 白粥配罐頭菜心, 看到菜心, 就知道有人生病了....

時代不一樣了, 小朋友不吃罐頭菜心, 這反讓父母可更花心思準備. 蔬菜有很多營養, 白粥加入蔬菜, 補水同時也加了營養, 對生病, 不舒服, 沒胃口的人很好的讓他們補充體力.

紫色愛心粥, 顏色漂亮, 感覺就很不一樣, 用了比白米更有營養的糙米, 加了馬鈴薯, 玉米, 增加一點甜度, 再加入紫莧菜, 鹽, 醬油調味, PS: 醬油不要放太多搶味, 也可不放.

When we are sick, traditionally, we eat porridge. The reason is simple :
- To rehydrate our body
- Provide Carbohydrates to increase energy
- Easy to consume

I always think that eating porridge is brilliant in our culinary culture and it's a good food therapy. When I was young, plain porridge, simply boiled rice, and canned cabbage(pickled cabbage) was given by parents. Every time, when you see canned cabbage, you will guess somebody is sick ...

Now, children are no longer eat canned cabbage. It's less healthy as well. Parents can have more options for them. Vegetable consist a lot of  nutrition. If adding to the porridge, not only rehydrating but also gives more nutrition. It's good for patients or who are not feeling well or less appetite to increase their energy.

Purple porridge has beautiful color and felt so different. I used brown rice instead of white rice which has more nutrition. Add some potatoes, corn and Purple Amaranth. Salt and soy bean sauce for seasoning. PS: Soy bean sauce is optional and less to add to avoid the taste is covered by the sauce.

想在碳水化合物加入更多的營養素, 纖維素, 還是得動動腦筋.....

Wonderful! I successfully made my imagination become truth. Ha!ha!ha!
To add more nutrients and cellulose besides carbohydrates, I think more brainstorming is needed ;)

自家香腸比薩Home Made Sausage Pizza


別以為弄個Pizza 比煮一頓晚餐來得簡單, no, no, no, 很花時間的, 從做餅皮, 準備材料一點都不馬虎. 我還煮了奶油湯. 這次比較特別的是, 我沒有用到番茄, 比薩的番茄醬我都是自己煮的, 我們家已經很久沒有瓶裝的番茄醬了. 因為沒有買到番茄, 我想了一下, 調了一個醬取代, 沒想到這個比薩, 好吃到不行, 湯也不錯... 只是弄完這一餐, 真累, 也讓家人就等了 ......

It will never easier to make a pizza than to prepare a nice dinner. From making the pizza dough and preparing the ingredients, always spend you a day for it. Besides, I also made a cream soup to go with it. There is no tomato this time. Normally, I'll make some tomato sauce for topping. Bottle tomato sauce in my house has disappeared for long time. No tomatoes in my fridge, so I needed to think of the alternatives... mmm, how about a little secret recipe ... hahaha the mysterious sauce is wonderful mixing with other ingredients no doubt to make it extremely delicious. The cream soup is nice too. Dinner is ready !!

紅豆包, 銀絲卷 Red Bean Steam Bun and Curly Steam Bun


整理相片, 欸, 怎麼漏了這個沒發表. 自製的紅豆沙, 做了紅豆麵包, 剩了一些拿來做紅豆包, 沒餡的就做成銀絲卷, 想說做多一點冷藏, 肚子餓了, 就有東西吃 ....

自製紅豆沙費時, 想必是追求天然飲食需付出的代價吧? 然而, 心裡卻有一絲絲的成就感. 健康飲食料理, 選材, 用料, 烹調方式, 還是得花一些心思. 但也在這樣的研究中, 得到了樂趣 ......

整理相片花了很多時間, 又夜深了, 今天沒時間說很多, 其它的下次見

蔥蛋餅Green Onion Egg Rolls


今天的下午茶. 原本配上昨天留的Roti Canai (印度煎餅)的豆醬, 不過, 天氣太熱, 太遲收入冰箱, 餿掉了, 還好這樣吃, 就很好吃了, 不必搭配任何醬料 :)

獨家配方的蔥蛋餅是沒有用油的, 如果用不沾鍋煎, 可說完全可以不用用到油. 我用的是不鏽鋼平底鍋, 要用一點油熱鍋, 第二片後就不需加任何油. 比起印度煎餅, 蔥油餅, 不用油的蔥蛋餅健康多了. 
蔥蛋餅的香氣, 來自自家種的蔥, 還有炒得香香的黑芝麻, 吃起來, 有香氣, 有咬筋. 只吃一片, 配上一杯茶, 就飽足了.....

Today teatime dessert is Green Onion Egg Rolls. I made this for the  Roti Canai(India cake) sauce left over yesterday. However, the weather was too hot and I was too late to keep it in the fridge, it was spoiled. It's OK. It still taste good without any sauce.

With my own secret recipe, the egg rolls recipe does not contain any oil. If you use non stick pan, totally not oil is used. I used stainless steel pan. After heating the pan, just put a litte oil to heat for a while for the first piece and  no oil is needed for the rest. Compare to Roti Canai and Chinese Onion Oil pancake, it's healthier with no oil.

The fragrance of the egg rolls is from the green onion planted in my garden and the fragrance of fried black sesame. When you eat, your mouth will full with the fragrance and nice to bite. One piece and one mug of tea is good enough, satisfied and full, for the afternoon ...

(冷藏法)香腸小卷包sausage rolls


我們家很少吃加工食物, 很久都沒吃香腸了, 這種香腸麵包不秒殺才怪. 麵包很鬆軟,  我沒刷上蛋液, 麵包天然色, 我最愛

We seldom eat processed foods. Thus, it has been long time not eating sausages. People just like not so healthy food. When the sausage rolls were ready, they were almost finished up. They are soft. I did brush egg on the top. They all have natural color. I just love it :) 



袋袋平安-袋子麵包Pocket Happy Bread


天氣熱, 不想吃飯, 可以弄點不一樣的, 弄個可愛的袋子面包吧! 覺得這個比漢堡好吃多了, 也有趣多了, 可以一邊做一邊吃, 沒有油炸也比較健康, 還可以加很多新鮮蔬菜哦!

Less appetite in hot weather for rice meal. If so, just make something different. Pocket bread is not too bad at all. I feel it's better than burger, have fun to do it yourself ,healthier with least oil and add more vegetable whatever you like :)

螺旋藻糙米雞飯Spirulina chicken rice(brown rice)


很久沒有發佈"今晚吃什麼" 的貼文了. 那晚, 我們又吃了什麼? 有時候就想弄點簡單的套飯, 來點不同顏色再增加一點營養, 花了一些功夫煮了雞飯, 加了有機螺旋藻, 光煮完飯就有點累了, 想想雞肉就醃一醃, 拿去烤, 再去準備其他配料. 剛好買了昂貴的蓮霧, 那就拿來拼成一個晚餐套飯吧!

It has been long time not posting "What for tonight?" theme post. Mmm, What we have for that night?
Sometimes, I just want some simple dinner set, change some colors and add more nutrition. I had spent some time to prepare the chicken rice and added some organic spirulina. After cooking the chicken rice, I already felt a bit tired. To fast up the preparation for dinner, just marinated the chicken and put it into oven,. By the time, I could prepare the side dishes. I had just bought some expensive wax apples. It's just fine to be included in my dinner set. :)

(冷藏法)蒜香小面包Garlic leaf Bread(Cold rise method)


肩膀有點問題, 需要復健, 為了減少肩膀負擔, 還是減少手揉麵包比較好, 家裡沒有麵包機, 也沒有麵糰攪拌器, 想想那就用冷藏法吧! 沒有節省很多時間, 麵糰還是要揉出筋, 只是不必揉得那麼累. 
種在廚房窗邊的青蒜可要派上用場了, 之前做過香蔥軟麵包, 這回輪到青蒜上場啦...
做出來的麵包也是很柔軟哦! 手工麵包很難做到像機器打出來那麼柔軟, 我用的無添加的高筋麵粉, 當然也無法像麵包店的那麼柔軟, 組織那麼細緻. 手工麵包軟中帶有嚼勁, 天然香氣, 健康啦!

I have some problems with my shoulder and finger joints. Hands kneading bread dough becomes difficult. I don't have bread machine or dough mixer, waiting for sponsors :P. I tried the cold rise method to make the bread. Not much time saved, I still need to knead it until it's stretchy and smooth but do not have to knead it until very elastic to have  a thin translucent membrane. This have saved me a lot of strength.

Green garlic planted in my kitchen is ready to use. It's the first time I tried to plant the garlic bulb to grow the leaves and it's also first time I tried to use it for baking. It's good to know that the cold rise method still can make soft bread. Hand made bread usually can't be as soft as the mixer kneading bread, especially when I use organic bread flour or natural bread flour, no additive added flour. The  texture can't be cotton candy like either. Hand kneading bread can be soft too and a bit chewy. You can always taste the natural fragrance when you chew.

茉莉綠茶手工面Jasmine Green Tea Handmade noodles(1)
身體不舒服, 吃了兩天稀飯, 突然想吃麵, 想做麵, 第二次做手工面, 看起來還不賴吧! 不曉得是不是很累, 從煮湯底, 到把麵做好, 做了好久, 結果湯汁都熬到快沒了, 面湯不夠濃, 還好綠茶茶葉蛋嚕得很入味. 

I was not feeling well. After eating porridge for two days, I felt like to have noodles and would like to make some. This was my second try for handmade noodles, looked nice? From preparing the soup till the noodles was ready, it took a lot of time, extremely tired at last. The brewed tea eggs are nice but the soup is not thick enough.

剩下的麵糰放冰箱, 有人說要吃板面, 正好, 就拿來煮板面, 這回湯底夠味了, 面也好吃 :)
I kept the rest of the dough into fridge. One day, someone requested for wide noodles. I  used the dough to make wide noodles. The noodles tastes good and the soup is nicer too.

恬院咖哩雞Garden chicken curry


今天的咖哩雞就這麼煮, 沒放椰漿, 也沒放牛奶, 清清淡淡又很香, 加上院子裡種的咖哩葉, 心裡想這樣會不會帶有一點葡式呢? 可, 這是我自己的食譜喔. 我也忘了自己有沒有吃果葡式咖哩 :P
從院裡帶來的香氣, 那就叫恬園咖哩雞吧!

Curry chicken without coconut milk or cow milk. It's light and full with fragrance. I added some curry leaves planted in my garden. First I thought, it looked like portuguese curry but it's my own recipe should be my style. Anyway, I don't remember I have eaten portuguese curry before, do I???
Since the fragrance is from my garden, I should name it "Garden Curry Chicken".

恬院九層塔豆腐雞Noryayard Basil Doufu Chicken


院子的九層塔長了, 我是客家人, 長輩都稱他為"金不換", 我都唸成"金谷飯", 因為從小就不知道他的中文名為何, 也是從網上搜的. 他的香氣, 我稱他為主觀氣味, 因為不是人人都喜歡而且很兩極化. 在我們的料理力很少有加九層塔, 我大概想了一下, ㄟ, 也挺不錯的, 味道也不會很突兀


The Basil has strong fragrance which I call it "subjective flavor". People will hate it or love it. I can hardly remember that which cuisine in my family has used it. I had to think before cooking. Hmm ..just nice to eat and the flavor of basil is not too strong to upset you :)
