長豆炒豆腐 Long beans fried tofu


院子的新朋友 :) New friend from my garden

種在小盆的長豆苗長長豆了, 沒想到這麼快就有長豆吃 :) 原本想來個長豆炒雞蛋, 還有些豆腐, 那就一起炒了吧!

wow, the little long bean tree has long bean planted in a small pot. What a surprise! Plan to make a long bean omelette but I have some tofu left, so just mixed together for a dish, long beans fried tofu :)

自製葡萄醬 Homemade Grape Jam






去逛街買了2大包葡萄, 還買了很多水果. 一直想要做果醬, 真是個好機會. 用自己特製的糖醬, 好開胃. 早餐的全麥麵包有朋友了. 今天再做司康, 太....美味了 ^_^

Bought a lot of fruits from hypermart. Two big bags of grapes. It's a good chance to make some jam. I used the sugar syrup to cook with it, hmm good taste! I guess the whole wheat bread had found his friend that morning. Today, I made some scones ... Yes, just another wonderful teatime :)

香香脆脆, 小朋友怎會不愛. 做了兩罐全吃完了, 還想說嘴饞的時候, 喝咖啡的時候, 咬一咬. 那得做多少才夠呀?

好久好久沒做了, 依然棒 :) 雖然是油炸的, 卻沒油膩膩得感覺, 清新的芝麻香氣, 會讓你一口接一口 .....

p.s 我用有機芝麻 ( I used organic sesame)

I  made 2 tins, all finished. I would like to have it when I want to have something in my mouth or go with the coffee sometimes but I have the empty tins now...

After so long not making it, it still tastes good. Although, it is deep fried but not feeling oily . You just can't stop your bites for the fragrance of sesame ... :)

楊桃蛋糕 Starfruit Cake


Hmm, 好滿意, 還是用回自己的食譜好, 嘗試了用不同的方式作的蛋糕, 不是很滿意, 或許是我更動了配方, 為了配合自己的健康概念. 不過, 我還是會繼續嘗試, 繼續研發, 健康不失美味嘛 :)

最近特忙, 沒注意到楊桃熟了. 自家種的楊桃有種花香味, 早就想能不能用在自己的食譜上, 正是個好時機, 說做就做. 淡淡的楊桃香味, 雖然放了蜂蜜好像有點搶味, 但還是有種田園風. 剛開始吃會覺得有點淡, 越吃會覺得越想吃, 因為香氣都留在嘴裡, 吃了也不會膩哦 ^_^

I tried different ways of making cakes recently but seem to have some problems. I did change the formula in order to fit my healthy and simple cooking concept. Glad to say first try with my new recipe with star fruit flavour is satisfied. However, I will continue to try .Healthy but yet delicious is what I believe :)

Starfruits were ripe without my notice on recent hectic days. Starfruits planted in my garden have a special flower fragrance. I always think that if they can be used as an ingredient in my recipe. Now,it's a good chance to try. They don't have strong fragrance and the honey has stronger smell but still have garden style. First bite has a light taste. After few more bites, you will love it because it taste good with the fragrance in your mouth .... hmm..

哈哈. 終於給我找到沒有放 Benzoyl Peroxide(过氧化苯甲酰~麵分飄白劑)的麵粉. 可是, 包裝上沒標明成分, 也不知有沒有加其他的, 所以, 持保留態度. 好久沒做養生饅頭了, 先來個地瓜饅頭吧! 來個香氣, 來個顏色, 加上龍眼乾, 葵花子, 健康的饅頭, Mm...美味

I just found the wheat flour without  Benzoyl Peroxide, kind of flour whitener. I won't comment on this because no ingredients list printed on the package, so I can't tell if any additives added. 
For quite some time I did not make mantou(steam bread), I think I should start with the sweet potato mantou. Natural fragrance and color with some dried longans and sunflower seeds, is always the healthy mantou. Mmmm .... delicious as well :)

乘有假期做一點點心, 很久沒做高熱能的點心, 有點饞嘴了, 外皮香脆加上蛋的甜蜜, 嗯, 好好吃 ! 下次, 多做一些.

Time for pastries. I know they are  high caloric but just can't stop my mouth from the desire of tasty foods. The fragrance of butter and the sweetness of honey eggs filling made the taste just nice. I'll make more for next time :)

菠蘿蜜鬆餅 Jackfruit(Nangka) Muffins


這得感謝媽媽把種子埋在們前, 菠蘿蜜總於收成了, 能把自己種的植物用在自己的料理上, 你說能不叫人感動嗎? 我覺得那是一種幸福, 雙份的愛 <3

鄰居婆婆說: "不會結果的啦!"...

我媽說:" 誰說不會.. 你們看這是什麼?"...

媽媽萬歲! 誰敢挑戰媽媽的精神, 媽媽連葡萄都種得起, 媽媽家還有一棵台灣蜜棗... :)

Thanks mum for burying a seed in front of my house. Now, we got the jackfruit. It's kind of touching I can use my plants as the ingredients for my cooking. I feel happy, yes! double the love :)

Neighbor said : " It won't fruit "

My Mum said :" Says who? What is on the tree"...

With the spirit of persistence of my mum, what can't be done? She has planted grapes in tropics and she has Taiwan jujubes trees... Proud of you, mum <3 :)

忌廉蘑菇湯 Mushroom Soup

小時候, 第一次喝到舅舅買回來的罐頭濃湯, 就愛上了這種味道濃郁的湯. 長大後, 不會煮, 也是買罐頭的. 罐頭的鹽份太高, 也不知添加了什麼, 我就一直想要學會煮. 從複雜的程序到自己簡化後的程序, 現在隨時想和就可以煮. 

不過現在很少煮, 嫌她油份高. 做一些簡餐時, 我想搭配一下也不錯. 其他料理可以選一些少油份的.

Separating Egg White and Yolk 簡易蛋黃蛋白分離

看到網上教人分蛋法, 忍不住要分享自己的經驗. 以前拿了蛋, 敲破以後, 帥帥的左倒右倒, 像個大廚一樣. 可是後來發現蛋殼很髒, 又很懶洗雞蛋, 弄濕了, 又怕影響打發. 雖然, 有些雞蛋有經過沙門氏菌殺菌處理, 我又怕有殘留, 所以就想到這個方法, 又快又衛生, 不必使用分蛋器具, 嫌麻煩. 看過有些師傅是用手的, 我想我的這個方法還是比較好吧! ^_^

I can't hold myself back when I saw some posted ways of separating the egg white and yolk and want to share with you my experience. At the beginning, I felt good to crack the egg and pour left and right until the they are separated, like a chef. However, later on, I found that the egg shell is really dirty. I'm to lazy to wash the eggs and I'm worry the eggs won't be whisking well if they are wet. Although, some of the eggs are treated with Salmonella sterilization. I'm afraid of the remain, so I have an idea which is quick and hygienic. Too troublesome to use egg separator too. Some chefs use their hands but I think mine will be better :)

簡單但健康. 看似簡單, 準備起來也挺花功夫的, 三道都需要熬煮, 也花了我一整個下午的時間, 別忘了煮完還要清洗的哦! 又花更多的時間.....

Simple and healthy. They looked simple to cook but I have to spend lots of the time for preparation. They all need longer cooking time for stewing which had been taking me for a whole afternoon. After cooking, yes, clean up time.. :)

隨意蒸蛋糕 Just a steam cake



在FB的烹飪團體看到餅乾蛋糕, 很好奇他的味道, 用了自己的食譜做, 噢, 還不錯, 也很健康. 在自己的配方裡又加多了一種口味 :) ~ 燕麥餅乾

今天病了, 想說可以整理一下食譜, 還是有氣沒力....

I saw some biscuit cake in Bakery Group of FB. I just wondered how it tastes, so I tried to make it with my own recipe. Not bad at all and health. Happy to have one more flavor in my healthy cake series :) ~ Oats biscuit
