今晚吃什麼?What for tonight?


"今晚吃什麼?" , 特別為了我的父母準備的晚餐, 我媽喜歡有酒的料理, 特別為了她想了一道食譜, "枸杞子醉雞", 爸爸喜歡豆腐, 那就"蒜香雞肉沙煲豆腐". 靓湯是"花生雞湯", 再來個"清炒菜心" 和營養豐富的"番茄炒蛋", OK嗎?

香蒜是自家院子種的哦?


Tonight dinner is specially for my parent. My mum likes wine cuisine, so I prepared a special dish for her which I have never tried before. I call it "wolf berries and wine chicken". My father like doufu, so I made him "Green garlic claypot doufu". The soup is "Peanut chicken soup" and two more dishes are "Fried Choy Sum" and "Tomato Fried Egg", sound OK?

做這個麵包讓人快樂, 胖鼓鼓的不覺得很可愛嗎? 麵糰揉打至可拉出薄膜很不簡單, 但也很有成就感, 尤其用這種無添加, 能做出這麼柔軟的麵包, 真的很感恩.

起司加了義大利香料的口味, 融化你了嗎?

I love this happy bread. It's looked so chubby, so cute!! Kneading and beating the dough until it can be pulled out a thin membrane is not that easy but full of satisfaction. Especially, the bread is soft without using natural bread flour.

紫色愛心粥 Purple Porridge


我們的傳統, 生病要吃粥. 為甚麼生病要吃粥? 除了補充水分, 碳水化合物補充能量, 清淡易消化.生病吃粥, 我覺得是我們的飲食文化裡, 很有智慧的食療. 記得小時候, 白粥配罐頭菜心, 看到菜心, 就知道有人生病了....

時代不一樣了, 小朋友不吃罐頭菜心, 這反讓父母可更花心思準備. 蔬菜有很多營養, 白粥加入蔬菜, 補水同時也加了營養, 對生病, 不舒服, 沒胃口的人很好的讓他們補充體力.

紫色愛心粥, 顏色漂亮, 感覺就很不一樣, 用了比白米更有營養的糙米, 加了馬鈴薯, 玉米, 增加一點甜度, 再加入紫莧菜, 鹽, 醬油調味, PS: 醬油不要放太多搶味, 也可不放.

When we are sick, traditionally, we eat porridge. The reason is simple :
- To rehydrate our body
- Provide Carbohydrates to increase energy
- Easy to consume

I always think that eating porridge is brilliant in our culinary culture and it's a good food therapy. When I was young, plain porridge, simply boiled rice, and canned cabbage(pickled cabbage) was given by parents. Every time, when you see canned cabbage, you will guess somebody is sick ...

Now, children are no longer eat canned cabbage. It's less healthy as well. Parents can have more options for them. Vegetable consist a lot of  nutrition. If adding to the porridge, not only rehydrating but also gives more nutrition. It's good for patients or who are not feeling well or less appetite to increase their energy.

Purple porridge has beautiful color and felt so different. I used brown rice instead of white rice which has more nutrition. Add some potatoes, corn and Purple Amaranth. Salt and soy bean sauce for seasoning. PS: Soy bean sauce is optional and less to add to avoid the taste is covered by the sauce.
